I tend to be insightful. The unexamined life is a bore & can lead to boorishness. Can't stand the idea of $250. designer jeans. What ever happened to dungarees? Hate most TV, can't abide the plastic people (no one looks like real people, every one has perfectly capped teeth, the men all have hair as if they are of college age, the women as well as men depend entirely on professional cosmeticians) yes, indeed they look as if they are made of plastic. I haven't watched TV for years, was hospitalized a while ago and watched some TV. That's when it hit me, saw just how plastic these people looked. One has to be away from it a while to notice it. Besides I don't want all that staccato movement and noise in my life. I guess I'm practicing to be a curmudgeon. Also I can't stand pretentious people (read phonies). I can't suffer fools any longer hence at times I'm seen as rude when I put idiots &/or phonies in their place. It means that at times I'm not a nice person.
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:

Interesting people, good conversation (read correspondence) Ideas that challenge my own ideas. Sexy women, now don't get me wrong, the sexiest part of a woman is that organ that lies between the ears and behind the eyes. I'm am Atheist, although respect peoples beliefs. It would be nice to find someone who indeed can prove there is such a thing as God.

Speaking of Harold Arlen - again, on LP I have an obscure album of his called "Harold Arlen Sings with Friend" The "friend" is Barbra Streisand singing at 18 years old. She gets two numbers to sing.

Hello - I'm relatively new to Gather.
I find it fascinating to know that another person would list "They Shoot Horses, Don't They" in their favorite-movies list. I would have thought I'd be alone in that distinction.
I've been looking for the soundtrack for years, but so far have only seen my own copy on LP available...
